Recently I was given the opportunity to be the photographer for the "Cape Verdean Picnic" held every year at the local club in Bridgeport. It was a great experience to be behind the scenes and capture culture "live" through musical performances and the arts. As a kriola, I am greatly humbled and appreciated that my own Cape Verdean community has supported me through my growing career as a photographer.
